Welcome to the Provincial Grand Lodge of New Zealand under the Grand Lodge of Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons of Ireland.
Working under the Constitution of the Grand Lodge of Ireland, the Province of New Zealand is the oldest Province outside of Ireland, having been established in 1859, and one of our Lodges, Ara Lodge 348, is the oldest Masonic Lodge in the country, something we are also very proud about.
In New Zealand, Masonic Lodges and other Masonic Orders operate under Warrants from the Grand Lodge of Ireland, United Grand Lodge of England, Grand Lodge of Scotland, and the Grand Lodge of New Zealand. All four Constitutions work closely together, which world-wide is fairly unique, having four Constitutions all actively meeting in friendly Communications in the same country.
Should you be a Freemason visiting New Zealand, you will find much of interest to you. We of the Irish Constitution will welcome you most warmly at any of our Lodges. Contact us to find out more about our regular meeting details. If you are interested in joining Freemasonry, please contact us and one of our members will be in touch.
You will find information about our Lodges and side orders, along with some of our charity work within our site.
