Ara Lodge 348 provides scholarships to students who are continuing their fine art studies at tertiary level.

 

Each year, scholarships are awarded to help support talented young New Zealanders in their ongoing fine art tertiary education. This scholarship, established in 2007, supports the top fine art student from secondary schools that are located within the old Department of Education “Auckland Central District Area”. These selected students must be progressing onto further tertiary study in the field of Fine Arts. Recipients are chosen by the HOD Art Teacher of each school.

Each year around 32 scholarships are provided to these talented students, many of whom go on to become leaders and teachers in the fine arts.

 

Since its inception around $500,000 has been provided in support of these students.
